Born in Motherwell, Scotland, Moira Huntly studied at the Harrow School of Art and at the Hornsey College of Art. She is well known in the art world, is presently Vice President of the Pastel Society and was chairman of the Committee in charge of their highly acclaimed Centenary Exhibition. She is also an elected member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, the Royal West of England Academy and the Royal Society of Marine Artists. She has received many prestigious awards and has exhibited extensively in both solo and selected group exhibitions. Publications include Painting in Mixed Media, Learn to Paint Gouache; Learn to Draw Boats published by Harper Collins, London and The Artists Drawing Book published by David & Charles Newton Abbot.
