Alma Wolfson trained at the Glasgow School of Art from 1960 to 1964. She has shown in a number of selected mixed exhibitions including the Royal Glasgow Institute; the Royal Scottish Academy; the Royal Academy; the Gatehouse Gallery and the Compass Gallery both in Glasgow; the Torrance Gallery, Edinburgh; Thompson Galleries, London; Contemporary Art, London and elsewhere. She has received many prestigious awards including the Barclay Lennie Award, the Millers Art Prize from the Paisley Art Institute 1995, was finalist in the Laing Landscape Competition and received the Save the Children Award in 2000. Alma is a member of the Glasgow Society of Women Artists, of which she was a President. Her paintings may be found in many private collections, and public collections include the Scottish Arts Council, the Bank of Scotland, and the University of Glasgow
