On completing her education, Patricia Northcroft was employed as an assistant editor with a publishing company, where, in particular, she enjoyed working with material involving birds and other wildlife. Patricia has not had a formal art training, but she enjoys anything creative and after attending a course entitled The Lost Wax Method of Casting into Bronze, she found she had discovered a medium which allowed her freedom to express movement in a way that is not always possible with other materials. She has worked in clay, producing original pieces for commercial reproduction for several companies, including Royal Doulton. These days she concentrates on her work in bronze and produces sculptures of birds and other wildlife... to her own ideas. Her work is to be found in prestigious galleries in London and elsewhere and has been included In the Society of Wildlife Artists Exhibition held at The Mall Galleries in London each year.
